About Myself


I am a Consultant Gastroenterologist at the Princess Royal University Hospital, Bromley (part of Kings College Hospital, London) and Panel Member for international organisations providing second opinions in Gastroenterology.


I have built over 23 years’ experience in the management of simple and complex diseases in all aspects of gastroenterology. I see most gastroenterology referrals for adults and adolescents. 


I completed higher Specialist Gastroenterology training at St George’s Hospital, London in 1999. I was awarded PhD(Med) by University of London in 1999 for research into the role of Helicobacter Pylori in gastro-intestinal diseases and also for developing healthcare systems for managing dyspepsia and upper gastro-intestinal endoscopy. I have published extensively in major journals such as Gastroenterology (USA).


My interests outside Medicine include - Photojournalism; Community developmental projects in African villages; and Developing/using technology to support village healthcare workers in Africa.

Special interests

Inflammatory Bowel Diseases; Functional Gastro-intestinal Disorders (e.g. IBS); Disorders of gastro-intestinal motility; Therapeutic Endoscopy (including colonoscopy, ERCP, balloon enteroscopy); and Complex benign gastro-intestinal disorders (e.g. POTS and Ehlers Danlos Syndrome).
